its probably not. i mean are you going to use it actually that much? also i was looking at the wires and they look like they can pop out pretty easily. also if u have a small head the proteus doesnt fit too well so look into buying a head band or sumthing, for my preference i dont play woodsball too much and the communicator is mainly for woodsball.
edit: also the proteus has a thermal lense so it wouldn't fog up and u can get a fan or sumthing. the only good thing is that u can hook up a mp3 player and listen to some music, other than that i wouldn't use the radio.
