It just means that the Shocker was the first COMMERCIAL electro, and was patented. The patent is vague enough to cover ANY electro, meaning whomever owns the patent could technically demand royalties from anyone who makes an electro. (which SP did with AGD, AKA, DYE, NPS, ICD and WDP).
But SP only owns HALF the patent, while WDP owns the other half.
It means that EITHER can now sue other companies, but its not known how that would work. In fact, this is probobly worse for paintball then before.
