There is no advantage, other then they tend to be slightly more gentle with fragile paints.
It is a marketing gimmick invented by Smart Parts, and is generally discredited by everyone.
Most high-end guns are actually med-pressure, but "med-pressure" doesnt sound sexy I guess.
