Playing pump is a great way to save on your paint cost if you're interested in doing so. You've probably heard this before, but if you get a Phantom, get the detent ring set. It'll keep your balls from rolling out of your barrel. You know, in case you ever play at fields where they have small balls.
Just out of curiosity, where do you usually play? I mostly frequent
EMR but have been known to show up to other fields in the PA/NJ/DE area. I'd be interested to know about this Phantom-crazed field of yours. Aside from the $90 paint, it sounds like a decent place.
edit: Checked your profile and you're a west-coaster. I heard they like thier pumps more out there. Next time I take a trip out there (which I do to see friends/family every so often), I'll have to bring my marker and look up some pump fields. Sorry about the obvious question.
