Its sometimes called "Hopperball" meaning you can only have 200rnds PER GAME.
You see it sometimes at the local level BUT NEVER AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL. Why? Paint companies sponsor national-level tournaments, and they want to sell paint.
Hopperball tournaments ARE BY FAR the best tournaments I've ever played. They are much harder, and require far greater skill. It really adds a great element to paintball.
Plus, with hopperball, people can have full/auto or whatever mode they want. Heck, even 2 or 3 barreled guns!
It doesnt matter because you need to PAY ATTENTION to how many shots you have fired. The tricky thing is KNOWING when to hose.
Some teams use a "kamikazi" tactic, and HOSE the other team HOPING to wipe them out before they run out of paint. BIG CHANCE.
