Teflon tape and/or Blue Loctite should be in your tool box at all times. And Otter just says to lightly sand the top part of the sear (not enough to take wear it away or round it off). You need to sand a little to smooth it out to work in the polish, it wont harm it if you do it right. If you do it to much your going to have recocking issues with the sear and stricker timing along with dwell problems.
