That is FALSE.
The MAIN reason that N20 increases horsepower is because IT IS AN OXIDIZER. It is essentially adding oxygen to the mix.
Anyone who works on cars knows its EASY to add more gas, but much harder to add more air. There is only 3 main ways to add more air: Larger Cubes, Forced (turbo/super), or chemically using N2O.
Yes, N2O is also a refrigerant, and can be used to COOL the air to make it more dense. However, CO2 is much better in this regard. Regardless, the effects are TINY compared to the benefits of N2O as an oxidizer.
So, technically N20 is not flammable. Like O2, its an oxidizer. However, it IS very dangerous since it makes flammable things burn much more intense.
As for Nitrogen? IT is chemically inert, meaning COMPLETELY HARMLESS. Same for HPA and CO2.
