How to make your RT mag Rapid-fire.

You can set up your RT mag to shoot full auto, or with bounce. The sear is pushed back and actually moves your finger along with it. When light pressure is applied, your finger will jump back and if you keep a constant, light pressure, its capable to shoot up to 34 balls per second.

I just want to make one thing clear before I explain how to rapid-fire with pressure.. The more pressure the better. Mags can handle up to 3000PSI. Its possible to hook a scuba tank directly to a mag. Zak Vetter did this (www.zakvetter.com) and he reached speeds of 34 balls per second.

The speed is directly proportionate to how much pressure you put in it.

There's two ways to do this. The first way is by an adjustable tank. All you have to do here is turn up the regulator on your adjustable tank (use stainless steel hose here.. Macroline WILL bust on you). Turn it up to about 900PSI. At 900 PSI, it is possible to shoot 23 balls per second.

The speed increase is directly proportionate to the amount of pressure going into he marker, and how hard the user pulls the trigger. The lighter and more steady the pull, the faster.

Now, for how to do it with an 850PSI tank.. This requires and RT valve, and a ULT pull kit. You will also need 3 Level X shims, and 3 ULT shims. Each Level X shim is twice the width of one ULT shim. So you could use 5 ULT shims and 2 Level X shims, etc.

Step 1:

You'll need a 1/8" hex, your shims, a pair of pliers or channel locks, and some oil.

Using either your fingers or the 1/8" hex, unscrew the field strip screw, and remove your valve.

Step 2:

Take the channel locks or pliers, and place it around the bronze piece on the
You will need a 1/8" hex, a small pair of adjustable pliers or channel locks, andvalve.

This is the ULT kit.

Be gentle with it, as the pin inside it is NOT covered under AGD warranty.

Using enough force (but not too much) pull upwards, and remove the whole piece.

Step 3:

Take the ULT kit you just removed, and remove the halves.

They are threaded, so just lightly unscrew them. Be very gentle with the pin.

Count out your shims. Remember:

1 LX = 2 ULT

You can tell the difference by holding them up next to each other.

Just by visually comparing them, you can find the thick or thin ones.

You need a total of 9 ULT shims, so get that combination any way you can.

Insert the 9 ULT shims, and twist the halves back together.

Step 4:

Place a drop of oil on the O-rings of the ULT.

Place a drop inside the hole in the valve where it will slide.

Step 5:

Place the ULT assembly back inside the hole on the valve.

It might stick out a little bit, but it should be okay. Make sure the bottom is flush with the valve, and its in as far as it will go.

Step 6:

Put the valve back into your marker, and tighten up the field strip screw.

PUT YOUR BARREL CONDOM ON YOUR MARKER

Gas up your marker. IT MAY FIRE.

The marker may fire on its own when you gas it up. Be forewarned.

Step 7:

You need to find the sweet spot.

Hold your marker up and aim it at a wall like you're playing.

Place your finger on the trigger, and start to pull the trigger, VERY SLOWLY.

The key here is to be as light as possible. The lighter you pull the trigger, the faster it will shoot.

Your marker should be shooting full auto when you stroke it, and semi when you pull it hard and normally. If not, please see the troubleshoot section below.

Troubleshoot:

Problem: I got to Step 5, but when I go to put the valve back into my marker, it won't fit in the body!

Solution: Repeat up to Step 3, but this time, put one LESS ULT shim in. If the problem persists, keep removing one ULT shim. It should be no problem though.

Problem: I did all of the steps, but my marker will not rapid-fire!

Solution1: First of all, make sure your pulling the trigger the right way. You need to pull it as lightly as possible. Just pulling the trigger normally will not get you any rapid-fire. Remember, the lighter you are, the faster it shoots.

Solution 2: If you are pulling the trigger correctly, you may need more pressure. Make your sure on/off is torned all the way on. Make sure the tank is screwed into your ASA all the way.

Solution 3: The last bit of advice I can give you is to add one more ULT shim. Every valve is different, maybe yours will do better with one more.

Remember, any damage you do to yourself, your marker, or others is not my problem. I gave you clear warning ahead of time for anything that can go wrong. Enjoy!
