TheE-mag board and solenoid are fairly large, so there is no room inside the grip for a battery. As a result, the 12v battery (correct if wrong) had to be moved to the front of the marker inside a battery cover. This is why you don't ever see gas thru grips on an e-mag.

My suggestion would be s if you have an e-mag, drill a small hole in the back of the grip towards the bottom, and run the wire out, and make a sort of wrist-strap for the battery. Get some sort of "quick disconnect" whether it be a snap plug or a headphones style plug so you can quickly disconnect it. You'll have a gun tied to your wrist, but it will be unique.
