Any marker from a company with anything close to quality control will last a long time if the owner takes care of it and doesn't abuse it on the field.

That aside, Tippmann isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread. I think the outline shape of the Model 98 is probably one of the most easily recognized things in the world of paintball though.

They're famous and as well rooted in paintball history as any company. But, as mostly an entry level marker, the crowd does draw a good number of people that think there's nothing better.

Great field rentals, Good scenario guns, good woods guns, fair for rec speedball as well. Really the same as any spyder, but those might suffer in the mil-sim/scenario area Tippmann holds pretty well.
