$1.00 Ion Mod
I was looking at my gun the other day and was watching the gauge as i fired it and noticed it was dropping a fair bit. So I read up on aftermarket regulators and they were saying that they will reduce shot drop off because they allow a higher volume of air through. This got me thinking so I pulled off the airline and looked at it and noticed that it was extremly thick and only had about a 1/16 hole for air to travel through. (BTW I am a heavy equiptment/ transport truck mechanic with a knoledge in air systems) I went to the shelf and grabbed 1/4 inch nylon airline (good for 300 psi) and put that on. the inner diameter is about 4 times the size of the stock line which allows a lot more air through faster. put it on the gun and notched that according to the regulator it charged faster and the pressure did not drop nearly as fast.
I am going to crony the gun tonight with both lined on it and post the results later.
So go to your local truck stop or repair garage and tell one of the mechanics that you need about 1 ft of 1/4 inch nylon airline, the guy will probably give it to you for free or might charge you a very low fee.
