Have you ever taken apart your 98c? You can't just use a screw in the back of the trigger because it wouldn't hit the sear. The sear is tripped by a piece of metal near the top of the trigger, not near the middle.

A RT is just a little actuator that uses excess air from the powertube (big black plastic thing in the marker) to "pop" your trigger back out in order to fire another shot. The RT allows you to have 2 shots per trigger pull. One when you pull the trigger, and one when it resets the trigger.

If you hold the trigger the right way then you can "sweet spot" it. Sweet spot means that you can put just enough pressure on the trigger that the gun will fire, the RT will "pop" the trigger back out, and if you hold the the trigger in the same spot it will fire again and again and again (up to about 14bps max).

The RT never touches the sear; it just helps you reach a higher rate of fire by allowing the trigger to move back out faster. I hope this helps!
