It was my understanding that the reason that you got so many shots per tank is that it injects a small amount of propane where it is ignited and the massive expansion of the gas once it ignites is what propells the ball.
I am trying to find more information on the tippman website, but so far I am not finding any information.
If anyone has a link to its performance specs where it talks about this, let me know.
