Uping a Spyder isnt pointless IMO....remember its like 90% player and %10 marker... give a noob an angel... is he the best?????? NO!
I have a spyder you idiot. Where did I say the fenix was ****? All I said is that it's twice the price of an imagine, for a couple extra parts that aren't much better than the ones on the Imagine.

Upping a spyder a lot is pretty pointless. Put a new trigger frame, board, bolt, reg, front block, valve, shimp kit, barrel, feedneck, asa...it's still a Spyder...a gun that has a ton of kick, is loud, and isn't accurate at high rates of fire. I upped my fenix a little, but not much. You you wan't to spend $1000 on a blowback...that's your choice. Most newer players won't spend much at first, so they won't upgrade it much, but for an experienced player, a 1000$ spyder is ridiculous. You an buy used dm4s, protos, angels for that much (actually quite a bit less...like 400 less).

A spyder is still a spyder. They are great beginner guns, but aren't very good for competitive paintball. Yea, the gun doesn't make the player, but when you have a gun that has a ton of kick which in turn messes up your accuracy at high rates of fire...you won't be playing as good as you would be if you were using a non blowback gun, such as a timmy.

Spyders/tippmanns/spyder clones are GREAT beginners guns. Some are cheap, they are all easy to maintain, and they are good for rec ball. For competitive paintball, you will want something that performs better.

BTW: yea, I don't like spyders much, but that's because I like high performance guns. Spyders are far from high performance unless you spend over 1000 bucks on them, and unless you make it a spimmy...they have no where near the performance of more expensive guns. That's why you can get spyders so cheap.
