not to flame or anything, this is a stingray I paintball gun.

some info on it. brass eagle popped up in the late 80's debuting their "top of the line" pump guns, which were actually top of the line, these included the Nightmare SB and LB as well as the Cobra hopper fed. the nightmare line had a bad issue with hammer bounce wich led to the development of the first inline blowback gun from them called the Eagle. it was basically a hopper fed nightmare with a different trigger unit. around 89-90 they made double actions such as the mini, jaguar, poison, golden eagle, and barracuda(very cool). these guns shot ok but had crappy trigger pulls but shot good still. later on in the 90's im gonna have to say around 94 they came out with their cheap quality guns we know them for today, the stingray I and the tigershark. the stingray I was based on the inline valve system(think tippmann) and had a long barrel shroud that IS removable to conceal a cheap potmetal barrel. these guns shot nicely and were fairly reliable, however they were mostly plastic. later when the advent of people wanting to change barrels quicker, along with closer quarters battles and not the woodsball they introduced the stingray II a slightly improved model that was shorted due to not having the big barrel shroud, and a shorter barrel. they didnt shoot as nicely but are fairly reliable. brass eagle around 97 tried to go back into the high end market, once again not making it, but they put out a nice gun, an electro(yes this early) one of the first electro's, and also they were supposed to be the retailers for the Angel, yes brass eagles name in front the the famed angel....dont belive me here's a actual ad from APG.

anyway they are still a nice gun, just wanted to tell the actual history of it, not calling your uncle a liar, just possibly an over exaggerator. still, i have a few stingray I's nice shooters but not quite 30 years old.
