I dont really play woodsball anymore, but when I did elbow and knee pads would have come in handy. Now I play speedball and I hate playing without elbow and knee pads. I would say that elbow pads are more important than knee pads. Some would disagree, but if your a decent speedballer, you wont be doing a ton of knee slides anyway. When you dive or slide, your elbows are much more likely to get scraped up, once again unless your sliding on your knees. And, your arms (once again, if your a decent speedballer) are alot more likely to be hit than your knees, which again places more importance on elbow pads because you can catch quite a few bounces off the pads.
