So first off, shoot with your left hand. It just works better (as in less of you shows, snapping better, etc).
Like you said, after you aren't broke, some pants would be good. Those shoes are fine, just as long as you don't slip or anything at your field.
Not feeling the hat, get a headband ( definitely not advertising
