out of the box review ego 07 (pics)

I decided to show people how this part of pbf is actually supposed to work.
(click on pictures to get higher def and bigger version)

Well it came in a modest USPS box courtesy of mi paintball. Took out another box, all black with its name and such. Inside the black box was shaped foam encased in black metal. There was clear plastic over the sides and top on the "ego" and "ego7" respectively.

Every thing was neatly packaged together. My first thought was were the gun was. There were two foam pieces over the lpr and back of the rammer housing, there was also the manual and barrel cover obscuring all the other parts.

Took out all the accessories and found out they gave me 2 e star stickers (under the gun), all the needed allen wrenches, 2 spare grip screws, 2 detents, and about a full o-ring rebuild (didn't check how many there actually were), and 1 fl of eclipse gun oil (left of the gun).

Finally took the actual gun and barrel out of the case and put it together.

I was told that they can be aired up straight out of the box and be shot, so I decided to test that out. I did not like the feel of the trigger and did not think that changing it would affect any tests (came with the "factory 2mm travel"). I was wrong, the stock setting is opti and I adjusted it to the micro switch. No biggie, all i did was turn the tourney lock off and switch it. Now that I had the trigger how I wanted it I started to shoot. It ripped. Every ball was straight on. It had almost no kick. With the hopper full there was none. It was in the negatives with wind here so I could only squeeze off roughly 800 shots.

Once my fingers got slightly purple I decided to come inside and take it apart. I did not look at the manual. It was extremely easy to take apart and put back together. I had no problems taking anything off. All the needed parts were lubed/oiled from the factory (I replaced it anyway).

Consistency:
Beautiful, there was no drop off anywhere even when I shot 18bps or 1.

Efficiency:
Forgot to check. I neither measured my paint nor the pressure in my tank, my bad.

Pros:
light, fast, looks very easy to maintain, looks (I like it personally)

Cons:
It says that it is a custom setting if you change a preset ( such as psp, nppl, ect) and change it to micro switch. Other than that none.

Easily a 10/10 out of the box. I might post a vid later in some section.
