2. You guys just sounded like real jerks. You're on the rec (that's short for recreational) ball part of the forum burning some guy because he used the word kill? I, as a recreational player, read his post and appreciated his advice and personally don't care what words he used. Nothing he said made me think hunting other than him saying he had habits from shooting a shotgun. Sounds to me like some uppity morons who's parents bought their guns and play paintball (mostly speed ball I'm sure) as a trend. You'd rather talk about the politics of the game than go play it. The same type of stuck up idiots that might say "that guns ok... for a Spyder'. Knowing good and well Spyder is one of the best entry level guns out there for the best price, and a great gun for somebody not willing or able to spend a fortune on a GUN when all they want to do is play woodsball and a little speedball with friends.

YOUR KIND OF PEOPLE are ruining the image of paintball. It used to be friends getting together all day in the woods when basic Spyder Semis cost over $200. And some of the best fun was coming out of the woods after the game was over and talking about who "KILLED" who.

Now there is correct and incorrect language to use when referring to paintball? Stupid.
I love the assumptions you make.

Of course, he owns a nice gun, so his parents had to have bought it for him, right? He plays tournament paintball, so he is an arrogant 12 year old who has everything handed to him, right?

I don't know why you brought Spyders into this thread at all. That argument has no place in this thread, and is totally irrelevant to anything happening here.

Yes, there are important politics to paintball. We're trying to get rid of the image that most people see paintball as. We're trying to not look like a bunch of people running around with facepaint on 'killing' each other in the woods, we're trying to bring up the image of paintball being an organized sport.

We don't use 'guns' to shoot our 'paint bullets' to get 'kills', we use markers to eliminate other players.

You're, not your.

How is he ruining the image of paintball? By trying to get people like you, who are ruining our image by using words that make the sport sound dangerous to stop using those words?

Yes, there is.

Want to explain to me how it is stupid to try and get our sport respected by the 'outside' world?
