pmr review

well i havent seen any rail reviews so i guess ill do one just since im bored at school. and since im at school i cant upload any pics so sorry about that.

Packaging
ok so i got this thing last year in late november early december dont remember really when. but i went down to my pro shop on a thursday to see if they had it in stock and compare prices if they did. well as i expected they had it in stock and the price was 25 bucks below list. so i bought it and the box it came in was really tiny. you can hardly believe there was a gun in there. dye/proto packaging is superb. one of the best. makes the product look extremely high quality not that they aren't already.

weight/appearance/feel
So before i bought it i got to hold one in my hands. boy i can tell you its feather light. i kinda "readied" myself to hold a decent amount of weight and when the guy put the gun in my hands my hand went up just cuz of my "readiness" and its light weight. its because of all the polymer parts on the gun. its the stuff they use to make glocks from which is very strong and wont break. The look of the gun basically looks like a pm7 with polymer parts. its got that signature dm/pm milling which is h-h-hawt. the feel of the gun i will be honest isnt all that great with the polymer parts. tho it feels featherlight. the polymer with like the rubber grip parts on the grip frame doesnt tickle my fancy. however there are people who think that the pmr feels great.

trigger
this is the thing that gets alot of attention. most people hate it cuz its another polymer part. its alright i will say that. i can walk it at a pretty consistent 15-16 bps with stock trigger. but the rubber molding feels wierd. takes some geting used to the feel of the trigger.

internals
so basically the rail was dyes way of getting their "ion" out there. but this in no way can compare to an ion. though bolt operation is basically the same its NOT the ion. the rail surpasses it in all levels. basically the bolt operates on boost forward tech. a small amount of air pushes the bolt forward a bit. and then it shoots it out using the amount of air required to shoot the ball out. its really soft on the ball. ive only chopped once and that was with eyes off. and it wasnt really the guns fault. my halo cant keep up...

reg
well its a hyper2 break in period of about 2000 shots. then itll be consistent. i was seeing +/- 5-6 when i took it out the first time. need i say more? im seeing +/-1 now

EDIT: make sure when you rebuild the reg that the shim stack is properly place since their is nine shims one shim should be facing the piston so ()()()()(

others
the barrel is a one piece proto which is microhoned to a .690 bore size. its quite accurate for stock. i prefered it over my friends freak. the backcap is easily stripped so replace that first. the feedneck doesnt need to be replaced only the collar that fits over it as it looks kinda korny.

stock this gun is pretty good. it can keep up with the higher end guns. a good 2nd gun or a good back up. ive been playing since i was 11 or 12 and i know the most ive gone in a year is about 8-9 times. so i dont need that good of a gun. its really easy to maintain. unscrew backcap take out bolt lube put it back in and badda bing badda boom your done. however cleanging for me takes like 2 hours since im meticulous at it. but it can be done in about 45-1 hr.

now i have a ul frame on it and a cp backcap. with the new ul frame and trigger it rips. ul frame ranges from 150-200. its more of a cosmetic up but its feel is so much better than the stock frame. and the trigger is so nice.
EDIT: my cp backcap constantly leaks no clue i replaced orings and relubed prolly 3 times. i usually stand behind cp products but not the backcap i think its prolly cuz they put more holes in the backcap but i cant say for sure or maybe its just mine
