This argument has been raging (i.e. Which marker is better) since the first Nelson 007's came out. Cripes, I can still remember the Automag vs. Autococker arguments of the 90's, and then the spyder vs. tippman arguments of 2000 and beyond.

Smart Parts, for being a ruthless megacorporation, is not a dumb company. They saw a need for an entry level marker that did all those things that a $1200 marker does. Face it, today's paintballer wants BPS, flashy buttons, and insane upgradeability. So SP made the ion. There is nothing wrong with the ion. There is nothin wrong with a BKO, there is nothing wrong with playing with a mech spyder. At least you are out playing paintball and having a great time. The bottom line is when a ball breaks on your opponant, they are just as eliminated if the shot came from a slingshot or an OmG! tHE r0xZerz Uber DM25....
Jesus is that you?
