If you are in a crunch, hold the gun upside down to keep the hopper from feeding and shoot it several times to blow the gunk out of the barrel. Since you have an A5 it has the advantage of removing the barrel easily and squeegeeing it just like a standard barrel. On a 98 the best way to clean it is to swing down the elbow and feed a pull thru squeegee into the breech and pull it out the end of the barrel.
