my buddy and i set up a field this summer. took some pics last weekend and
photoshopped them together into panoramas. but first a little info on the field:
it's a little bit ghetto but cost us $0. everything was scavenged from various
places and we had some of it from a previous field we made a few years ago.
we got a lot of pallets and started doubling them up and propping them up
with 2x4's pulled off other pallets. took a lot of time and work and the
bunkers don't end up being very big, so we kinda gave up on that.
when we were most of the way finished we found a place with a supposedly
unlimited supply of free spools. we put a couple in as well as quite a few
spool "tops". we cut the bottom foot or so off two and made an "X" out of 2
of them. this bunker works really well and i'd like to do more of them.
the field is a pretty good size for 3-5 people per team and allows for plenty of
cover. the terrain is not flat so the team facing south is shooting uphill
the whole time, but the three big trees are huge lane blockers so it allows a
lot of movement and evens it out pretty well.
next up would be lengthening the snake and adding some more three
dimensionality to all the bunkers. any other suggestions?
