Painting masks are pretty hard. Make sure you sand it down well with sandpaper and then put tissues or paper by the holes where you breath from and use some painters tape and tape it up. Do the smae for the plastic goggle area. Then very very lightly spray paint the mask. Hold the can 6" away from the mask and give it a light coat, not to heavy.

Then let it dry and give it another coat and see how it looks. You will probably be useing about 2-3 coats of paint on it because most masks are black.There's some special coating type of spray paint that will protect it against rain and water very well. Make sure you get some of this at a store, it will help.
