Well first of all dont know the exact problems but it will ruin and slwoly destroy your gun. Secondly its been done.
YouTube - PMR and compessor and thirdly it doesnt recharge fast enough for even a PMR which means using it to fill a tank is totally impractical because it wont be able to pressurive over 150 PSI. Sorry man been there and thought of it but without an industrial compressor it will not work.
