Most every field has banned any paintball marker that shoots anything other than a .68 calibre paintball this mostly affects the RAP4 line of products since they shoot .43 calibre paintballs. Some fields ban the use of fully automatic fire and some tournaments restrict some trigger types (e.g rocking triggers). For woodsball or scenario fields the use of launchers could be banned or restricted depending on insurance coverage. If you aren't sure you should always call ahead so you don't get stuck renting a Tippmann for the day.
