It's only an advertising benefit if you will be at a lot of large events and actually winning enough to be seen. My advice is to enter some tournaments and when you start winning and your team starts getting seen out front then maybe you can start asking around for a sponsorship. I'm in business and I have lots of people approaching me to fund this or that or whatever and there is only so much money available to do it. I'll sponsor local sports teams like kids soccer or hockey because I know there will always be parents there watching their kids and local news coverage and 20 kids sporting my company logo. An off the street offer for a new tourney team will get ignored unless you can prove that I will get some return on my money and I actually play paintball.
