So you're saying diesel engines were innovative? They're not. They use a different fuel, they use a completely different way of burning fuel, but guess what, they weren't innovative. Just a slightly different way of doing the same thing. Making power out of a liquid fuel to move an automobile. Now do you understand my point? co2 and propane are different...but they're both compressed gasses attached via a tank that the marker then uses to propel a paintball. I's the same thing, with a slightly different way of accomplishing it. It's NOT innovative.

And no, I don't consider semi-auto's inherently BETTER. I prefer them, yes, they're faster, yes, but better, no. I consider it an innovation since it DRASTICALLY altered the very concept of the game, how it was played, and everything else. And it completely changed how markers (those that went semi-auto) were desiged. No longer were they a single hollow tube with a hammer/valve...they were much more complex, bigger, heavier, etc. Nothing else in paintball has truly done that.

no longer were they a single holow tube with a hammer and valve, they were two hollow tubes with a hammer and valve in one, makeing them larger and its not like the first semi markers were lighter than the pumps they were replacing

o and you clarly didnt read close enoufgh or at least understand what crawdaddy was saying about the diesel engines, you were saying that the battery portion of a hybrid is the innovation (which doesnt make sence but whatever) when infact diesel powered submarines have been using that same idea for decades, having both an fuel powered engine and a battry powered motor in a vehicle has been done before. as for the batteries, saying "the battery is the innovative part" makes it sound like putting a battry in a car is a new idea a)its not and b) before gas was readily avalibe some of the first delivery trucks were battery powered, so the real innovation in hybrids comes in the milage they get, all the pieces of technology that make them up have been around for a long time, i ask you how many cars before hybrids got 40+ mpg in the city while still seating 4 people?

also your saying that the c3 is not innovation because it didnt change the way the sport is played or didnt turn the paintball industry upside down, well guess what? hybrid cars have not changed the way people drive or have not turned the auto industry on its head.

i think your definition of the word innovation is off

o look! a definition from Websters dictionary

1 : the introduction of something new
2 : a new idea, method, or device

a new idea: using propane to power a marker
a new method: using a combustion chamber in said marker
a new device: the c3

i cant get that video to work on my computer......and now im all curious
