Actually I've never rear-ended anyone, don't have any at-fault accidents for that matter either. I pay attention when I'm driving a 4000lb hunk of metal that could potential become a deadly weapon. Oh, and you're comparing apples to oranges also. Blatantly running a red light and stopping a two feet short and into someone bumper are in two totally different categories.
If the guy didn't have money, then he shouldn't have been driving. What if he would have turned RB into a paraplegic and he now needs millions of dollars in medical expenses? RBs insurance is only going to pay out so much. Then what? I'm glad not having insurance in my state is against the law.
