Never buy anything off ebay without a tracking number, especially if you're using an overseas currier like mailboxes etc to get your stuff shipped elsewhere.
I'm inclined to say it's your currier, given the amount of issues i've had with curriers in the past. Check with them locally about the situation in miami. They'll likely ask for a tracking number but you must insist they check for your name on lost packages.
As it often happens, curriers lose packages because the package landed behind a shelf or something. Also, buyers or shippers often forget crucial details in the address like the recipient's currier ID number (i.e. you give a base address in miami but the currier knows which country and city it's going to because of a special number).

basically this is a very different courier. it only ships to colombia, and when a package for me or my mother arrives, he calls us and verifies that we indeed ordered the package, and notifies us when he sent the package. it's very cool actually, i'm expecting my marker to arrive this week, even though i ordered it through amazon.com dec 25, arrived jan 2nd, and my friend was in vacations, so he just got informed that a pacakge had arrived "for him" (i have to send the packages on his behalf, so they know for who it is, and he then sends it) something like this had never happened. but i'm also inclined to think that it got returned because the package wasn't sent to my friend, but to my brother who doesn't work in that company, and they may have thought that it was an incorrect package, but my friend already knew that the package was not on his name.
sorry for not using paragraphs
