The gauge actually makes alot of sense. If your in the middle of the game and notice some shot down, you don't have to turn the marker sideways to see the pressure. You can just look at the back, which only requires you to move your eye. Less movement=less chance to get hit. Now this isn't a huge deal, but its a pretty good idea.
Also the Gauge dosn't get in the way because to take the bolt out you actually insert a tool down the breech and unscrew that way. Similar to adjusting a phantoms velocity but you're actually unscrewing the whole bolt.
I've done some research on this marker... if you can't tell.
