I TOTALLY disagree. Red is what you use if you never intend to remove it. Red is used for putting together 500 HP engines, not small pneumatic parts that don't cause nearly the stress on the parts that 500 HP can. Blue was designed for parts that need to seal, but are intended to easily come off with just a fair amount of strength. Blue will never wear out just through ordinary use, the only time you'll have to reapply is if you remove the fittings.
