it doesnt matter what you do with the apex, once the ball leaves the barrel at the field velocity physics dictate how far it can go and still break. better paint will help because it will be more fragile but it also has a better chance of breaking in the barrel, basically if everyone is shooting the same paint at teh same speed it doesnt matter what you do your range will be the same as everyone elses
