I'm not an A5 hater my opinion has always been that it is a great marker for a casual player. The Cyclone will reliably feed paint and no batteries are required for the hopper or the marker. You can toss it under the bed or in your closet and when you take it out again three months later it is good to go just wipe it down and toss back in the closet or under the bed when you get home. If you are even halfway serious about paintball the limitations make themselves evident very quickly. It isn't as quick or light or as smooth shooting as the other markers on the field and if you want to keep up you have to start putting money into it. Those upgrades individually are much cheaper than a new marker so it is a far too easy decision to make. Unfortunately those upgrades collectively cost a lot more than a marker that is exponentially better performing.

If you just want a cheap marker to piss around with your friends in the back 40 the BT4 is a great choice it is cheaper and better made than a Tippmann. For a bit more I am absolutely smitten with the SP1 it is the greatest thing to happen to the entry level/recball market in the brief history of paintball. No I don't think I am exaggerating just try one.
