I call the maya the taller one and I refer to the temples as aztecs. Its really something you just need to agree on with your team or find what most people at your field call bunkers.
I believe the pro teams were calling the snake side maya temple as beast. Dynasty was using California.
Teams use the nicknames for bunkers as a code. Different teams will use different codes. The use of the codenames is simply to make it very easy to quickly identify a bunker. The nicknames/codes are more of an advanced call and something you don't need to worry about learning exactly. The teams just make it up. You can call a bunker "Bob" when you play, it doesn't matter.
Get used to the number system first. Home and command center are the 2 most common nicknames on the field and are used almost universally. Other then that get used to counting the number of kills. Many people do this as calling "G1" which is the 1st kill, then G2, G3, etc. Other teams count strikes or use other number systems.
