Need advice about Check It On-Off with Rail

Has anyone put one onto a Icon E? I am talking about the Check It On Off with the cage and the mount that is like $40 out on the net everywhere. I see it says they are for standard mounting hole patterns, which I assume the Spyders and clones are not standard. Just wondering if anyone has done it, or can let me know how to do it. Thanks for any help. Also do I need new air lines to attach it?

Spyder clones have the diagnal two holes. I'm pretty sure it won't fit but you can always drill new holes into the bottom of your grip. You don't a new hose if it's the right size. I'm pretty sure.

not all spyder clones have dagonal holes....i dont know about 32*....but, it is probably standard (2 holes in a straight line)

spyder is the oddball in the drop dept. its holes are slightly diagonal, if yours does, get an adapter, like this http://www.anythingxtreme.com/Custom...1091C1544.aspx ..put that on your grip frame and then mount the on/off to that.

about your on/off.... i pm'd you about a good one. it has a bleed off (unlike the check it)....it will mount on your frame or drop. it's kinda like a combo system....micro rail and on/off

if you are mounting the on/off in the same exact spot as your asa, then you probably wont need a new hose. it really depends on how much it moves. dont forget to put some teflon tape on the threads (of the hose) before you put it back in.

Thanks for the help guys.

I have to check the mounting holes out tonight, see if they are standard or Spyder offset.

And also, is there a place to buy new air lines? Like if I wanted to go to the flex hose I have seen that is in different colors. Is there an advantage between either the flex hose or the steel braided hose? Also where would you get parts to make that hose if you wanted to?

Thanks again for all the help guys.

the hose you are talking about is called macroline. they sell kits for about $12-16 at the site i pm'd you. a kit will come with the necessary elbows...make sure the kit has the fittings you need.

advantage- is that ou can make the hose any size you want, and change it out easily. its cheap.

disadvantages- it blows a lot easier, so you need to keep extra on hand. some brands are really cheap...and cant take 800 psi even tho it saysd its rated at 1000.

Well the grip on the Icon E does have standard screw holes. Which is good, then I don't need the extra piece to make it standard.

Thanks for all the help guys, I might be stopping tonight to check out some parts at the local shop by me. I am thinking of getting grips too and modifying them to fit.
