Rebel 02 VA?

I recently picked up a Rebel 02 body wit all internals for pretty cheap and I slapped on the stock E-frame off of my E-rex. It still needs a VA so I took the one off of my E-rex to slap that on there in order to test out my new backup marker. The screw holes for the VA don't match up though. I know Gameface tends to make thier mounting holes a bit different for somethings. I just want to make sure that it's not the marker though before I pick up a stock spyder VA. Will a spyder VA work or does 32 degrees have thier holes set a bit different?

Not sure how well that will fly. The few shops in the area are more about wanting to sell that nice shinny timmy behind the counter than helping someone get their spyder clone up and running. I think the closest one did have some spyder VAs on clearance so I may try that. It's just everything in thier clearance bin was some horrible color of some sort and I'd hate to waste good $$ on something that ugly if it doesn't work. lol

I dont' even have any friends of family that play and use a spyder. Quite a dilema: Which spyder clones holes are not standard?

Yeah, as far as I know they all do. Unless there are some older models that use 2. My problem is the hole on my Gameface VA doesn't line up with my Rebels VA screw hole. So I need to figure out which one uses thier own specs. My guess is that Gameface uses a different measurement and that 32* would stick to the spyder hole specs since they make aftermarket spyder products. I was just hoping someone could confirm that before I spend money on a VA.

No, that's alright. I'll probalby head over to the local shop tomorrow on my lunch break. If you're feeling generous though you might want to check out freecycle.org. Very neat group that posts usable items for free rather than tossing them in the trash. I say a marker on my local group once but it was spoken for in a matter of minutes. That's how I get the parts for my PC projects. I usually end up with somones old junk PC, strip it for parts, test everything, take what I need, and then offer the extra tested parts to whoever may need them.
