New here

I am a E-marker owner. Just got my first gun about a month ago. Love it so far. I bought a Dye Ultralite barrel, and my gun came with a 20oz. tank. I am really liking the accuracy of the new barrel.

Does anyone have suggestions on bolts?
Is one better then the other?

Also are there any upgrades I should consider. I would like to go to compressed air, but the tanks are so expensive.

Let me know any ideas guys.

Later.

My barrel is .692 from Dye, I am thinking about buying a smaller back, but the next smallest is .688 from Dye.

Does paint come that small? Is it worth buying the different size, or should I find a paint that matches the .692 bore size?

I'm sure anyone on the forum will tell you that accuracy depends on your barrel-paint match.

you using the icon e?
I just ripped the venturi out of the bolt created the poorman's lightning bolt.
polished internals...from ottersc's page:
http://www.ottersccustoms.com/upgrades.html

after bolt mod, it was more than ok

i got a ergo reg cheap off ebay for like $30, and a turbo valve for like $20. not the best reg or valve out there, but they do the job (plus they were cheap).
HPA is pretty cheap, you can get a 3000/48 steel tank for $60-70 (all US dollars).

I also got a empire reloader, after i got the flat stick trigger and started chopping balls. i like the flat trigger, it's much easier to walk than the double on a stacked over marker.

after that my icon shot really well even with stock barrel. i use a thunderpig on my icon, not the best barrel out there but it works for me.

Thanks for the info. I have looked at those spyder pages before. They are alot of help.

HPA is compressed air right? Now does that come with a gauge at $70? Steel is going to be heavy as well.

Thanks, you are the first to welcome me. I hope to add to the knowledge that is evident here already. I have been doing alot of research on paintball and I just go into playing about a month ago. And now I am addicted.

Any help with upgrades to me gun would be greatly appreciated.

yes hpa = compressed air
yes it has a guage on it. i don't think i've seen an hpa tank without a guage.

it is heavy, but it will feel like a half full 20 oz co2. so it shouldn't be an issue.

if your gonna go LP, then you'll need a reg, high flow valve, high flow bolt you'll need either antisiphon co2 or hpa your choice (for the sake of the regulator). hpa will benefit you in the long run if you decide to move up to higher end markers. so alot of ppl on the forum will tell you to go out and get a nice fibre wrap tank. depends on what you need.

barrel will be fine as long as you have good barrel-paint match. and an agitated hopper if you have issues with chopping or skipping shots when rapid firing.

i think most other upgrades are cosmetic, or entirely preference based (my flat stick trigger is great, but a few of my friends do not like the feel of it)

and welcome to the forum.

What paint do you shoot? I am thinking of trying Draxxus Midnight, they say they are medium sized paint.

I am probably going to look into the compressed air soon. But we will see.
