The micro switch is the button behind the trigger that gets pushed in when you pull and activates the solenoid and then trips the sear to fire the marker.

HES is Hall Effects Sensor which doesn't use a micro-switch and basically uses magnets instead.

The Kinetic board is a board in the making that can fire about 22bps unlike the stock 14 and 13bps Spyder boards and uses HES, where as the T-board and IS board use micro switches.
