When firing individual shots the type of gas doesn't matter at all, only the pressure. If CO2 at roughly 850psi wouldn't even shoot the ball out of the barrel the problem probably lies with the tank valve or an empty tank. Use a large allen wrench and *carefully* press the pin on the tank. Does any air fly out? Do you have a pressure gauge on the gun? What pressure output was his HPA reg set to?
