I am an avid defender of the halo, I can shove anything dark into it and it will stop feeding. And of course the Halo uses batteries, if you use AAs it will be very efficient. They're not heavy, when full they weigh the same as an egg when full, they work fine with smaller paintballs, also holding 20 less paintballs isn't really a con. You reload them with 140 or 150 round pods, so it doesn't matter. Don't hate the halo. Also eggs feednecks, lids, and battery doors break easily.
Halos are freakin durable too, they're made of lexan, the bulletproof stuff. Basically it'll never break, and if it does well who ever broke it shouldn't be trusted with anything.
