Great thread. I am painting one of my "other weapons" and used this thread for some tips.....here's the results thus far....

Second coat:

Third coat:

Fourth coat:

First coat clear:

Second coat clear:

EDITED....Steps added:

1. Lightly sanded plastic using 220 grit paper.

2. Cleaned everything with Toulene.

3. Wiped with a tack rag (made by spraying paint onto rag and allowing to set for 10 mins).

4. Painted base coat (dark brown).

5. Applied some leaves(real ones, gathered from my yard) using sticky "tack" made for hanging posters and such.

6. Painted second coat (light green).

7. More leaves.

8. Painted third coat (sand).

9. More leaves.

10. Painted third coat (Dark green).

11. Removed leaves.

12. Three coats of satin clear.

Next I will steel wool, and apply a final coat of satin clear. The paint used was Rustoleum Camo paint, and Krylon Satin clear.

The camo pattern could be more effective. It's really intended to be cosmetic only. The weapon had a heinous looking black plastic stock that I could NOT stand....so I had to change it
