Why Mags?
I hear a lot of good things about mags. I just never got why they're so good. Can anyone tell me what they like about there's?

26 Cycles per second without shootdown.. Proven to shoot up to 36balls per second...
A Trigger that's 15 ounces, and mechanical. Reactive trigger can give you a bounce effect... on a mechanical marker.
A bolt that will never chop. Ever.
All this in a completely lightweight marker, with bodies and rails an cosmetics to match anybodys likings.
Now, imagine all that, for under $500, from a company that has THE best customer service I have evr seen(ever), and you've got an automag.

Alpha, you forgot one thing... cause they can do all that, in just one tube
No electronics to let you down, no batteries, just you, and good old mechanical goodness.
Though the automag is a very old design, it's been around this long for a reason. Also with the RT valves, they Mag has been reborn so to speak and everyone that's trying them now (without already thinking negative) is eating them up. I've yet to find someone that's tried my mag that hasn't liked it.
Every mag is different, and yet wonderful in their own special way.

You can literally take them drop them in a bucket of water, take it out and shoot it. Once they are tuned, they are set -- oil them once and a while and you are good to go.
They are seksy, and they are not the same old marker that anyone else has.
I have finally finished building my mag (excepr for maybe an Xvalve) I will have to post up new pics as it is one secksy beast!

then your gettign ripped off. lol
anyway, i like my e-mag, it is everything i need.
speed is not a problem, i even use 1.37(yea...i know) i can out shoot it all the time. i am getting a VERY GOOD deal on a pred 2 board and will have it in when i get a chance to take it over.
another thing i like is- if i feel tired i switch to hybrid mode or mech, if i am ready to just tear up that trigger, i goto plain electro mode of maybe just leave it on hybrid mode.
i have shot nearly every type of gun, and get to test alot of new stuff, but nothing really has come close to owning my e-mag. i have played with every type of mag made, and will continue to play with them untill i can't play anymore.

Unlike most of the opinions here I'm not a fan-boy or Mag Owner, however Mags are extremely reliable, probably the most reliable markers for the performance. All the E and X Mags I've seen perform pretty much on par with anything out there, its a shame they aren't still in production except leftover stock, much like AKA's Viking and Excal, clearly very good products.

I don't think I'll ever get a mag. They are nice, I just never like their looks. Thanks for the info though, now I know.

Same reason I have never really wanted a Mag :P However I do find that X-Mags are quite attractive, just seems for the same price I'd rather buy a Custom Viking, A4 Fly etc etc so chances are I'll never own an X-Mag :P

Also, the 'Mag following is probably the largest grass-roots paintballer groups I've ever seen. Pretty much anything you want to do to a mag- someone knows how to do it for a reasonable price.
More to the point, it is one of few markers that treads the fine line between a pro-marker, and a wood-ball marker. Which is to say, they work great in the speed-ball arena, and they perform just as well in mud or snow.
But most importantly, we turn to the words of Al Frankin/Steward Smalley-
They're good enough, they're smart enough, and- dogonnit- people like 'em!

Wanna buy mine?
Everyone here can attest to the fact that I know more than they do about mags
So you know its well cared for, expertly tuned, etc.
