are classic mags worth it?
are non rt-mags worth it? and does anyone know how they compare to cockers. like how fast they are and whats the trigger pull like? and are they like 5bps before shootdown? cause the rt is 25 before shootdown and its 5 times faster. or should i just avoid non rt mags

I'm pretty sure you can shoot more then 5bps with shootdown. When they say shootdown, its not like it jus stops working. You might lost a few fps.
Classic mags are worth about 150-200 bucks Trigger pull is pretty hard. I dont think its walkable. Better then cockers becuase they are WAY easier to care for.
Dont be discouraged, classic mags are most definetly worth it. Why? WEll simply becuase you can upgrade them to an RT mag along the way.

well right now I have spent more money on my classic upgrading it making it ligher and stuff than I would have getting an RT pro, so it depends really on what you want.
Edit: $365 spent and planning on around another $100. but then again I am selling the old stuff so in the end it will be around the same as getting an RPG paradigm, just....mine doesn't have X-valve...or a new rail....

I run a stock classic mag.. well, the only thing I upgraded was the grip and frame (a PTP grip frame, and wooden grips) and I threw an 8 inch rifled, brass lined barrel on it. I LOVE it... and it can shoot up to 10-12 bps without any noticable shootdown. it cost me under $150!

Classics are great valves. You can run co2 and HPA with them. You can put a level 10 on them as well. They are heavy compared to the Xvalve or even the RT pro valve, but they are workhorses.
But as Jacobeid stated, its all in what you want. If it were me, I would spend the extra money and get the ULE setup and the x-valve, then for sure you will have a great marker.

I'm still very happy with mine nontheless, but with all the money spent plus a bit more, I could have an x-valve. On my gun, everything is so light except the back. It's not terrible. You get used to it after a few hours of playing. The classic valve is a hunk of stainless steel, so naturally it's not going to be light. If you want a lower end gun, then I would go with the classic. But if you want something better, just spend the money on an RT pro, a nice barrel, and HPA.
