minimags now are outdated but still good entry level guns that can be upgraded heavily. I still think they look really good, but other people differ. They aren't worth that much. For a stock minimag I would pay $75-$100. Find out all the specs on the gun, your playing experience, money you have, etc. and give them to us. We will be able to help you more then. Catch me on IM (zeppelinfanMD). Most of the frequent members here have RT pro's or higher guns. I'm one of the only ones left with a classic (a sexy classic though....) So I might be able to help a bit more.

Sounds like Jacob has you covered Ed...
Don't spend too much on a older one like that for sure. However you might be able to get a killer deal and upgrade the heck out of it and make it a great marker. Let the group know what you are looking at and how much the guy wants.
For compairson a new AGD Automag RT-Pro start about $300-400 depending on how they are setup and what options. These newer markers are HPA only and are prob the best mechanical markers on the market. (I should know, I have been shopping mech markers for over 8 years off and on)
Good luck and let us know (or PM Jacob)...

ya minimags are a bit more expensive than classics but not by much. If it is stock, I would definetly not pay $130-$200. A used stock minimag....$75-$100. I got my upgraded classic for $100. These things are pretty cheap now. Sorry I got off earlier. I was watching the wall for the second time......that movie is so weird. But I get it a bit more now...

yup $300 back in the day was a good price. Now I wouldn't spend more than $100 for it, like dhill said. It's just not worth that kind of money anymore. Stock classics/minimags used to be top of the line. Now they are about as good as any other beginning marker. $300 is not worth it. You can get a used RT pro for a little more than that...

for three hundred we could probably cobble together an xvalve and ULE body setup, so illd say it def wouldnt be worth 300 bucks. tell him to take a reality check and come back with a better deal.
I would however point out that i would consider a mag better than ANY mech starter gun and superior to alot of electronic ones.........

He was probably just suprised at how the value of the guns dropped like crazy in the past few years.
