This summer I'm gonna have nothing to do and I'll have a lot of money from mowing lawns and doing other odd jobs. I was thinking about getting a mag and seeing how I like it.
I'm just wondering what mags are in the say, 500 price range and how much cash have you put into your mag.
RPG Paradigm. You really dont need to put in more then 450. all you need is an X-valve, Level 10, and some kind of double trigger, maybe a ULT if you want the trigger pull light.
Other then that, all the extra if jut for preference and aesthetics.
No 450 just for it. I managed to get my y framed mag with all the usual stock stuff for only 400 dollars. And you'll need to spend some more money on a compressed air tank for it.
Defiantly get the paradigm unless you find something more attractive/cheaper.
The only origonal parts I have are the sear, bolt, valve, and two screws. VERYTHIGN else is 100% aftermarket.
WHen I got my mag, it was a piece of ****. It had a single trigger, no barrel.. It was completely stock. It was lower then stock. Kinda.
The thing is with AGD, there is no such thing as a stock rt pro.. When you buy it from them, you have the option to choose what color body, valve, what style body, what style and color trigger frame, etc.
I could've easily saved $300 if I bought an RPG Paradigm (they didnt have them when I bought my mag).
Right now, I put about 600 into my mag, give or take. This is without the tank. I added up every part (with msrps).
Out of curiousity Alpha how much of that upgrading actually effected the performance of the marker and how much of it was just looks/ergonomics fetish.
well rouges stuff is lighter, and the new trigger has a better feel to it than the stick trigger and allows for a higher rate of fire. I asume Alpha will say something along those lines...

Lets see.. Body is lighter then the ULE body and looks nicer.. Feedneck clamps to my hopper. Trigger frame is more comfortable, and because of that, allows me to sustain higher rates of fire. The trigger is sleek and tight to the frame, so that helps too, plus the set screws (that I just installed) help me eliminate all the trigger lag.
The foregrip brings everythign in closer and tighter, which helps my stance a bit on the speedball field, plus it lowers profile a bit. The rail allows me to adjust where I want my foregrip, and is much much lighter then the rtp rail. IT also has a rear accessory slot which I can attach a snatch grip to. Rogue is comign out with new grips soon.
Just about everything has its pros. A lot of it was for looks, I'm very willing to admit that.
I mean, what else can you do to a rt pro mag? IT has a great valve and bolt, doesn't need a reg... No flaws.
Yeah wasn't ment in a critical way just to overview the fact that adding cash to an RT Pro is more or less just giving you a custom feel and not really nessecary for the beginning user to get performance out of.
