hey, I've been playing paintball for a long time now and i am really iching to buy a Paradigm. I play w/ a tippman 98 w/response now and it's really pissing me off with all of it's choping.
will the level ten bolt in the paradigm stop chops completely, and what barrel should i get if i get one. Are mags as accurate as an autococker, and lastly are mags gas hogs on nitro.
Sorry, i don't know much about mags, allot about cockers, but not mags. if you guys could help me out i that would be awseme
one last thing if any of you guys have a paradigm, do you like it? And what barrel do you have?
Its not the gun thats more accurate, it the barrel and paint to barrel match.
Mags arent gass hogs.
I think the paradigm uses cocker barrel threads..... so you have a big selection if it is....
A paradigm is the exact same thing as an RT Pro. You need to understand that theres really only two types of mags. RT and classic. Sure theres different types (you can get into the micromag, minimag, 68 classic, AIR valve, rt valve, rt pro, x-valve emag valve, etc).
The RT valves require nitrogen (nitrogen was invented in a paintball application specificly FOR automags). Classic valves dont.
The only real thing that makes up a mag is the valve and bolt. Everything else is really just preference. lighter bodies, rails with more holes/less holes, trigger frames... Its all just preference.
No one gun is more accurate then another. Cockers, dispite popular belief, aren't more accurate due to closed bolt. It all coems from these things:
QUality of barrel- Obviously a $30 PMI razzor barrel isn't going to perform as well as a $90 stiffi barrel
Quality of paint- Imperfections in the surface of the paintball can cause unwanted turbulance.. That all translates into this.. Bad paint = bad accuraccy. You get wht you pay for (usually).
Match of paint to barrel-EAch paintball, while .67-.69 in caliber, ranges in different sizes, adn its all due to different manufacturing methods, and humidity. Bigger bore paint in a small bore barrel will allow air to get ahead of the paintball and create turbulance. Too big of a paintball adn you increse friction, which requires you to use more air and wastes your efficiency.
A good barrel can be anywhere form 10-16 inches, but I personally wouldn't touch a 16". anythign less then 14" is good. Longer barrels ARE NOT more accurate.
Thanks, but what barrels do you guys use. I already have a freak, but i just need an autococker back. Do any of you guys have a freak or an evil pipe, or some decent barel. About how many shots would you get on a paradigm or any x-valved automag with a 68ci/ 4500psi tank. Also, would i need a new hopper, i have a revy, but i just don't see a mechanical going too much faster than my revy. Any way, one last thing, what things would i need to get once i get my paradigm.
And if you decide to go with a Mag you are doing the right thing. Get a Paradigm and dont waste your time yet.....
The theory said you can get around 1020 Shoots out of a 68/4500. But the mag stops working at pressure below 500PSI. Iwould guess you will get at least 800 out of it. Maybe more.
You need a 12V Revy for sure. Barrels are personel preference. I shoot an 13inch Armson Riffeld Barrel and sometimes my Hammerhead. I do have an Dye Boomstick and it shoots very nice.
I use an Adjustable Tank and i can get 21BPS if i crank the Output Pressure up to 1000PSI.
To the Hopper again, if you can get a hold on a eVolution2 with a Z-Board do it. I had have no problems at all with it.

also the guns cosistany will have a part in it too.
silly Alpha, you got it backwards, longer barrels can give more accuracy, but kill your range.
