What to Get
I think I want some kind of mag for my next gun. But I have a few questions...I can't say I've ever really seen a mag on the field (at least that I recognized as a mag) but most of the pictures look like the guns are semi-auto or even have a 1-finger trigger, which seems impossible since they want $200 upwards for it. Does that mean they're fully auto or is the trigger just like extra special so you can walk it anyway or what?
And, if I have $300 to spend on just the gun, what kind should I get? I play mostly speedball but I hate a gun that plays ONLY speedball. Speed is top priority but I definitly want good accuracy too. I've heard that all mags are just about as reliable as Tippmans, but even so I don't mind if it takes a little extra maintenance to get a mag like that.
Thanks.
--EDIT--
Wow I am a newb. I'm sorry, please don't flame me for not reading the sticky first. At least I read it, right?
Yeah it says that mags are semi-auto...does that mean they're walkable or not...? If a mag can't match my current Imagine '05 in speed then I rekon I'll go with somethin else...

It'll be the same ROF as the imagine, give or take... with ULT.

hell it will be a big step up from an spyder. now you don't need to clean the barrel all the time. look for a slightly upgraded RT and you could clear 300.

Umm wow I feel like such a newb...
ULT? RT? I'm lost...
And, um, could someone fill me in on how it can go as fast as my spyder (12 bps last i tried it, they say it can go 16 but i don't believe em) if I have to pull the trigger a whole inch every time as opposed to a couple millimeters? I've heard that you can make the trigger just about weightless (so you could litterally just hold it with the barrel up and it would shoot), but haven't heard much on adjusting the length of the pull...and how am I going to go fast on a one-finger trigger?
Please excuse my newbishness

Looked and looked and can't find a "tech" section anywhere on that site, nor anything related to ULT. Tried googling to no avail.

www.TheAlphamag.com.. My bad.
Magsmith is a good place to get mag stuff. I always get my URL and rogues mixed up in my mind...
ULT is a drop in upgrade that is adjustable adn allows you to make your trigger sensitive, adn allows for rapidfiring (full auto to some degree).
RT means reactive trigger (not responce). When you pull the trigger on any mag with an RT valve, a pin behind the trigger shoots back at you, giving you an ultrafast refresh rate.

to adjust the trigger pull on your spyder take of the trigger frame of the gun and if you look down like in the center there will be a little screw turn it left to titen it.( it wont look like you've titened it at all untill you put the frame back on). and for the thread question i would say go with the ion.

Umm..if you pull the trigger back on a spyder..? Sorry, no...
And I don't need tips on making my spyder better; trust me I've got it as decked out as a spyder can get without being ridiculous.
The more I read into it the more the mag seems like a better idea...so as far as that goes, what kind of mag should I get (I'd like one where I don't have to buy stuff totalling $20 or more just to get a two-finger trigger)? I'll have to buy the HPA tank (I think I'm getting a 3000PSI) so keep that in mind with my $400 budget. And I'm still not entirely clear on the whole ULT/RT deal...will I need to buy anything separately if I want the reactive trigger described on alphamag? Can I have the ULT and RT installed at the same time or is that pointless? Is the ULT tournament-legal (I went to that other site, the zack or z-man whatever, and one of the movies there was godlike speed emptied a halo in 3 seconds, whatever that was I'm sure it's not legal)

the RT Valve is a valve, not a huge install type up grade...for the most part.
