Looking To Get a Mag--Need Help

So I've been trying to get rid of my cocker and get a mag.(This wouldn't be my main setup, just something to use if I ever go back to the woods for a day) I know a little about them but I don't know how much mags usually run for. I wanna spend probably 250 or less. I have a bunch of other questions so if someone could hit me up on AIM with help i'd be really thankful.

AIM = AdamTONeal

Thanks

Try to find a used RT on AO. It will be heavy, but it shall be pretty fast. An RT pro is around $450.

try to get one with level 10. A classic 68 will be slow (5-6 bps) and heavy, and without Level 10 it will chop like no other. Personally, if you are going to get a 68 classic for even $125, I would just go with a spyder Imagine for a backup. It's cheaper, faster, lighter, and all around better. Face it everybody, classic mags are outdated and are outperformed by spyders. I know it is sad, but it's the truth.

Of course it won't be a backup gun. Just a fun little gun to mess and upgrade a little. I really don't need a backup gun, if mine ever did go down I have plenty of friends that always bring 2 guns

Just buy a used Classic mag or other cheap mag off of AO and buy a level 10 kit for 60 bucks. I sold my cocker for a mag(granted I have a Hyperframed micromag, but thats not the point),and havent looked back. It would be a good screw around gun. You might be able to find a cheap RT pro mag or other mag on AO for cheap, dont know though.

but here's the thing. Spend $125 for a heavy, used, and slow marker? Or spend $75 for a new spyder xtra or something and polish the internals and do the trigger frame mod for little or no money? It's your call if you REALLY want a classic mag, but I don't think it's worth it IMO.

a good point, but with the classic he can upgrade it all the way to a devilmag, and have a very reliable and unique gun.
A spyder can also be heavily upgraded but requires alot more work and money.

plus the mag looks pretty badass.

If he is going to upgrade it ALL the way to a devilmag, it would save him money to buy an RT pro from the start. Believe me, I got a classic and upgraded EVERY part except 2 screws and it cost me more than buying an RT pro outright would.

No, you can maybe find an old used classic valve for that much. Maybe a beatup L5 automag
