Barrels that contain their own detents, o-rings, and have no threads. Instead a spring-loaded pin makes a lock on the hole in the barrel when you push it in and twist.
what is normal routine maintenance for your mag before/after use?
and i'm trying to figure out if i did the spyder mod the easy way or hard way after looking at those instructions.... . and mags with lvl 10's don't need no stinkin' eyes, it' laughs at my 13bps cap, t-board here i come..... anyone got $65? oh yeah i need a halo too ... dang...
By turning a mag into a spyder mag, does that make it tournament legal?
edit: my normal matenience routine is very simple: i drop 2 drops of oil into the ASA, gas er up and fire 40 times.
every 4 times i play, i strip the whole thing down and clean out the valve, inspect o rings, wipe off any paint goo or shells that may be in there, and put vaseline on the sear (i feel that this helps make my pull smoother), lube up my lvl 10 and on/off assembly and put it back together.
Unless the mag is shooting more than one ball per pull (extreme reactivity), it's already tournament legal. Adding an E-frame does not change the legality, unless the frame is super bouncy or otherwise illegal.
My Q: Why do RT/ReTro/X-valved mags have a different recommended chrono procedure?
You should Hold the trigger down. This builds up pressure behind the on/off pin and actually simulates the heat and pressure of rapidfiring. Your velocity can chcnge substantially, so using this procedure makes sure that you're all set.
EDIT: Simply stated: the faster you shoot, the more consistant the velocity will be.
TheE-mag board and solenoid are fairly large, so there is no room inside the grip for a battery. As a result, the 12v battery (correct if wrong) had to be moved to the front of the marker inside a battery cover. This is why you don't ever see gas thru grips on an e-mag.
My suggestion would be s if you have an e-mag, drill a small hole in the back of the grip towards the bottom, and run the wire out, and make a sort of wrist-strap for the battery. Get some sort of "quick disconnect" whether it be a snap plug or a headphones style plug so you can quickly disconnect it. You'll have a gun tied to your wrist, but it will be unique.
It's a 16.8 volt battery, but often shows a bit higher when full.

Meh, it's a BIG battery. I can deal with it where it is. It and AGD's attempt to please everyone with 3 modes are two big reasons I'd prefer a devilmag.
Devil mags use Rogue Chimera frames(I think), and use Predator boards. I beleive the Chimera's have to be milled out slightly which is why it takes so long.. Not so sure on the last part.
